I am so happy that I had the privilege of meeting this beautiful family of three this summer. They contacted me while I was on vacation and while I hadn’t planned to take on any more newborns this month due to all of our family travel – and just the general busyness of being home with two active boys at the end of our summer – the timing worked out just right that I was able to do their session. And I was so happy that I did! As much as I love my summer adventures with my boys (and there are some fun blog posts coming up all about those oh so fun adventures!!) I do love the ‘other side’ of my life as well. There is nothing like the peace and calm of working with a newborn for a whole morning to bring balance back to my life 😉
I couldn’t have asked for more from this little guy. He is quite the little miracle baby. Born seven weeks early at just over three pounds but miraculously only stayed in the hospital a couple weeks and was breathing on his own right away. This was the first time I had photographed a preemie, and he sure went easy on me. At one day short of six weeks and just over five pounds the day I met him, he still let me pose him and work with him like a ten day old. It took a little more patience and our session was a bit longer, but that just meant I got some extra snuggles in!!
And the bond that this sweet family has was just pure joy to watch. I always enjoy doing the family portion of our images, but for this session in particular, I really think the family pictures turned out to be my favorite. Mom and Dad, just a little warning, you may have trouble choosing…
Oh, and did I mention that Dad loved all my little hats?!? How fun to get to use lots of different props during our session. Of course, we have lots of photos without them as well – but since Mom and Dad loved the idea of hats and bow ties so much, I thought I would share those photos here. I hope you enjoy meeting sweet baby C through his photos, I can’t wait to see this little peanut again soon.
Darling little bow tie from Trendy Ties (my boys love her big boy ties too!) and cute squishy layer hat from one of my all time favorite vendors, Sweet Pea Hats.
I love this new little hat by Pooks and Lulu – and Baby’s C’s parents did too! So little man like 😉
PS I would love to hear your feedback! If 15 of Baby C’s friends and family make comments on this blog post AND 15 become new fans on the studio facebook page (the same person can do both if they would like – just leave a comment on the FB page that you are a new fan!) I will gift his Mommy and Daddy an extra 5×7 print as a thank you gift. Thanks for visiting my blog ♥ Renee
