It has been a while since I took the time to introduce myself here on the blog. Now, if you are here, then I think that means you already know a bit about me. I often share little bits here and there about myself on social media ~ but don’t get as many opportunities here with my weekly blogposts.

Let’s Get Social

Speaking of social media…. Are we part of each other’s tribe on Instagram? On Facebook? If not, please come over and introduce yourself! I love getting to know you via comments and messages on social media! I schedule time every day to not only post ~ but to engage with my friends across the different channels.

Don’t you think Social Media should be, well, SOCIAL?!? I have friends near and far across so many industries. And a huge number of those friendships began by connecting on social media ~ so stop by and say hello! I would love to chat!!

Branding…

I had the opportunity to attend an amazing branding workshop a few weeks ago with this adorable local Charlotte company ~ Toth and Fay. When I met these two ladies at our local Rising Tide chapter meeting this summer, I instantly knew I needed more of their knowledge!

The workshop was a cross mix of small business owners ~ from a food blogger to a leather furniture company marketer to the owner of Hygge!  Meeting in the Hygge (pronounced Hoo – Ga) space at Camp North End – was the icing on the yummy cake!  Have you been there?!?  It was amazing!  I totally fell in love with the courtyard ~ so much color!!

I loved our morning together and learned a TON. And the bonus?? The amazing Julia Fay did my own branding photos! SO fun to have some updated photos of myself – with a real camera!

So, About that Intro…

Hmmm….What can I share that you don’t already know. You know I am obsessed with summer and refuse to let it die. Seriously. This is the time of year I usually fight off some serious blues. Everywhere I have lived since college the pools have closed by mid September. Is there anything more frustrating than a gorgeous 85 degree day and a pool that is all locked up!?!

But this year? This year I have my own big blue pool in my back yard. And y’all. It’s not getting locked up. Ever. Talk about happpppyyyy!!!

Not only did I manage to schedule three underwater sessions in September ~ even though we had to work around a hurricane 😉  But I also managed to somehow squeeze in another three sessions in early October before Fall Family Sessions begin! My husband is going to kill me! I can’t help it though! My soul just needs to be in that water!

And I get SO many compliments on my amazing camera strap from FOTO  Mine is the James in Cognac ~ but my favorite feature is the personalized shoulder strap I got this summer with my custom logo!!
