Have you ever seen a happier baby!?!

Remember when I did her six month session this summer?  Still just as happy!!

But I have to be honest.  Hadley is an amazing eater.  But cake?  Um. No way!  Would not touch it!  Now this is the one year old that will eat steak and bang her tray for more.  Basically anything you put in front of her is gone.  But we put this beautiful cake down in front of her and she couldn’t crawl away fast enough.

So her mom tried to stick some in her mouth.  This sweet happy baby started gagging!  Not even kidding.  Her eyes were watering.  It was awful.  I knew we had already gotten the photos of her looking so adorable playing with the garland…

But I don’t give up that easily.

So I’m sitting there trying to think it through.  Letting her have a little time to snuggle with Mama.  And then I remembered…

Cheerios!

This baby girl loves to snack on Cheerios!  In fact, her mom had mentioned she has to limit them because she feels like she would just eat the whole box if she let her.  She really loves her Cheerios!!

So I grabbed a box of her favorite Multi Grain Cheerios from the kitchen and stuck a few in the cake.  It got her attention.  She was still a little leery, but she was curios.  Then she noticed I had the big bag and she headed back to me.

Ok.  Round two.

We went all in.  I just started throwing Cheerios everywhere.  I put them all over the cake.  All over the floor.  Everywhere.

Well.  Then it was game on!!  It was eat the Cheerios, knock over the cake, have a blast, Cake Smash time!

And oh what fun we had….
