My Happy Giggly Baby Hadley!
Oh this sweet baby niece of mine….
I feel so incredibly blessed that I was able to travel to California just as she turned six months old and capture her six month milestone photos!! She is seriously the happiest little baby I have ever been around. And I have Jacob ~ so that’s saying something!! When we are out there we have a total of eight cousins from Hadley to my Benjamin ~ ages 6 months to 11 years this round. To say it is a circus is most definitely an understatement!! But she was always happy! Just rolled with the flow and carried on. I cannot wait to see her at Christmas for her one year pictures!!
We were out there for ten days, and never really had a set time for photos ~ or a set time without a million kids running around. So we just did little portions of our session as we got a chance. But of course since she is my sister’s third baby girl, we had to have some fun!! It’s hard to say which is my favorite. I adore the beauty of the photos with the yellow lantana and all of the precious details we were able to capture on the pink flokati ~ but little Hadley in these hot pink sunglasses all dressed for the beach….Well. As you can imagine, she pretty much stole my heart!!
Can you choose a favorite!?!
This age is so much fun to capture!! I have loved living in the pool this summer, but I am really excited to have my studio ready for fall and winter to be able to work with my sweet milestone babies and capture these precious babies that grow all too fast ~ especially in their amazing first year!!
Just for fun, I have to share a behind the scenes of the yellow lantana session. We literally had alll the cousins running around my grandma’s farm in chaos. I had spotted this little patch the evening before as the sun set with the golden light – but hadn’t really looked at the ground around it! By the time we were able to take the photos it was mid morning and the sun was getting hot so we had to find an angle with good shade. We squeezed ourselves into this little patch! I kept hitting my head on the tree branch, I had ants crawling on my feet, I fell over in this weird yucky mud spot where the sprinkler had leaked. It was a mess! My sister and I were cracking up!! But look at the result! Sometimes those little patches are absolutely the best spots you can find!!
Update: Thank you The Honest Capture for featuring the image of Hadley dressed for the beach on their Instagram page! The same image was featured as the Image of the Week in a local Charlotte Photography Group I am in. So honored when other Photographers appreciate my work!!
