I have to admit.

I left this session floating on a cloud. Posed Studio Newborn sessions are amazing, and continue to thrill me after all these years each and every time I have the privilege of holding and photographing a clients sweet precious baby. But to meet this little one in those first hours of life. This was special. Even more amazing.

No posing, no studio, no props.

Just sneaking in like a little mouse, meeting this little angel so fresh from her mother’s womb. And capturing those first tiny details. Those first snuggles, those tiny features, the world of firsts going on right before my eyes. I am so thankful that someone captured moments like this for us when our sweet Jacob was born and I hope to capture them for many many more families over the years to come…

And this Mama?

Mama is a rockstar.  Three boys and she finally has her princess.  And did I mention she is an amazing photographer?  She and I had our babies just a month apart and did Maternity and Fresh 48 sessions for each other.  You can see the ones she did for me on her blog here.

I am so grateful for her friendship and that we could share this time of our “last babies” together!
