“For this child I prayed and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.” I Samuel 1:27

This verse has always been special to me.  I have it on a frame in my first child’s room with a photo from his Baptism.  I firmly believe all children are a special blessing from above, a gift given and a treasure to be honored.

But this family, well, there were even more prayers than usual said here.  I won’t share the whole story, as it isn’t mine to share, but I will say the tears are flowing as I type this.  I have known this sweet family for five years.  I can tell you exactly how long I have known them because I had a rather large pregnant belly with my oldest child (who turns five in just three weeks!) when I met them.  We have played together, prayed together, shared laughter, shared tears, walked through times of joy and pain together.

I have loved watching their two sweet girls grow, but this family knew they were missing someone.  They desperately wanted baby number three, yet just couldn’t seem to get there.  After several years and many paths, it was with incredible joy that they welcomed a sweet baby boy to the family on April 2, 2012.

Please meet the B family and sweet baby M.  This was truly one of the most joyous newborn sessions I have ever photographed.  And these girls, well, just perfection…
