Fireside Cookies and Milk
Oh these two. And their Mama. I just can’t get enough!
Some of my favorite people on the planet. Ever.
Yall! This Mama drove SIX HOURS to see us! SIX! Do these look like kiddos who had just spent six hours in the car?!? No Way!! She reached out to me as soon as she saw I was offering Fireside Cookies and Milk Holiday Sessions. She wanted to know if we could make it work for them to stop through on their way to Grandma’s House in South Carolina?
Of Course!
Of Course I made it work!! They arrived just early enough that we were able to finish up our photos before the boys got home from school ~ and then we all got to have a wonderful afternoon playing and having a blast catching up with these wonderful friends.
I don’t think I can share these photos without getting a little personal. You see. Their Mama is my family’s own Personal Wonder Woman. I had an accident seven years ago when we were living in Washington DC. I fell down a flight of stairs while I was holding little Jonah. He was fine, but I tore my left knee up something fierce. Benjamin was just four years old, but he found my cell phone and we called 911. Then we called Ariel ~ and she was there as quick as a wink! She came and scooped my babies up and cared for them as her own while I was whisked off to the hospital. And then proceeded to become even more a member of the family when she moved in with us to care for the boys at night while Scott traveled as I learned to walk again over the following six months.
Let’s continue the Tradition
We left DC before either of her babies were born, but they still hold a very special place in my heart…. Love these two!! I adored photographing baby May for her 1st Birthday and then their Family Session that fall ~ and was thrilled to be able to do their Holiday photos this year!! I hope we can continue the tradition for many years to come….
This Weekend…
I love doing these sessions every year and I’ll be shooting my own boys Holiday Fireside Session this weekend ~ and I have a couple spots left for Sunday and Monday afternoon! I hope to see you and little ones there ~ I can’t wait to capture them all cozied up Fireside!
How absolutely adorable are these two in their Happy Hannas!?! We have a pile of jammies in allll the sizes from over the years, but I think these red and green with the patch knees might be my favorites! I love that they last so well and we have been able to keep them over the years ~ adding in along the way of course ~ and now not only does Jacob have enough to pretty much live in Christmas Jammies from now until February… But I have a fantastic pile to share with my clients for Holiday Fireside PJ Sessions! So much fun!!
And its me, so you know there are going to be some details captured! Look at those little fingers playing with the bells! I just couldn’t get enough of her little hands…And that tongue! Oh and big brothers freckles as he tried to get every last bite of goodness out of that big red cup….
