Sweet Baby Abby! Oh what a happy little 15 month old. I adored getting to do her 15 month milestone session while I was in California last month!! We had planned a sunrise farm session around her Great Grandmother’s Vineyard. But after a little delay with some lost keys, the sun was pretty bright by the time they arrived. I love how life works out in the end ~ and I could not have been happier with the Lemon Tree Session little Abby and I had!
She is such a little farm girl at heart. Always running in the dirt, keeping up with her big brother and all of the cousins. Digging, running, playing. And she thought Grandma’s lemons were hilarious! Her favorite game was to throw them on the ground and say “oops” with this big adorable bright face, like “oh my, how on earth did that happen again?!?” and wait for Mama to pick it up again.
Of course I jumped at the opportunity to use the gorgeous quilt her Great Grandma offered. Not only did it look adorable with her little outfit, but it was handmade by Abby’s Great – Great – Grandmother in the 1970’s, before Abby’s mom was even born. Her Mama knew her Great Grandma Mat as a very little girl ~ before she passed away in her mid 90’s. A very special quilt indeed!!
And those baby toes in the dirt? I just couldn’t resist including those. It might look like just regular baby toes in California Farm Dirt – but that is our Baby Abby. Barefoot on Great Grandma’s farm. Running free and oh so happy!!
A special Thank You to Abby’s Great Grandma for the use of her farm just outside Kerman California, her lemon tree and Great Great Grandma Mat’s beautiful hand made quilt.
